An Honest Post

When I began writing my blog, I intended it to be a place where I can blurt my thoughts without the fear of injuring my reputation or how people thought of me. Turns out it's not that easy to do that. Wait. Have I said (written) these sentences before? I might have. Anyhow...

Well, I think it might have been possible had I assumed a persona or had I chosen to be carefully anonymous.

But dear me, I linked this blog to all my public social networking accounts. Haha.

Although, I enjoy sharing my experiences with you guys, talking about stuff like, where I ate, what movie I saw, where I went, what I did for the day--all these become quite mundane over time. And I think to myself too, "Who even cares?" If I were a celebrity or some famous person, maybe people would care. But I'm not. And I'm not all that interesting, to tell you the truth. This is one of the reasons why I post so little nowadays.

Sometimes, I can't be completely honest with my thoughts either. That's another factor. The reason why diaries and journals were kept in the past was for the author to be able to freely express his thoughts or feelings. It was personal. It was impassioned. It was true.

Now, I'm not saying I'm going to abandon this blog. It's still a good way for me to chronicle my life, albeit I have to omit a lot of my person in it, the blog being public and all. I'm just saying that I wouldn't really be posting a lot. I'll still be around, writing about my life and how it is. However, I'll only be writing about stuff that have inspired me or events that are quite major. I hope you guys understand. :)

Before I end this blog though, I think I have to say something. My students sometimes ask me about my pets. I love pets and have never been without one in my life... Until now.

Before the end of the year, my nephews came over the house. Because of so-and-so reasons, the gate to the house was left open and my dog, Mordecai, got out. We never found him, despite our efforts. I only pray that whoever took him in is taking good care of him.

A few months back, my rabbit, Totoro, passed. The house has been without dander for a while. It felt quite lonely, really. It still does now.

Yeah. This doesn't make a great first post, does it? Well, I've grieved about my loss and I'm surely not getting any pet for a while. But I'm ok now! It's not the first time I've lost pets. True that it's heartbreaking. But life goes on. :)

On a happier note, I still have the hopes of going to Japan this year. Have you guys been praying for me? I really want it. It's going to be a great adventure! Like I said in the beginning of this year, I'm hoping 2015 will be another chance for new adventures, experiences and opportunities for self-enhancement.

I'm so looking forward to that!

Happy new year, everyone. (Hoping to deliver some good news soon!) (*^^*)

Aww. This is torture. I miss Mordecai again. :')
Don't worry. I'm ok. :)
